When we paddle together we create a current.

Wherever I go, I meet amazing people in differing professions - educators, thought leaders, policy makers, carers and creatives. While the delivery of our businesses may differ, our intention is the same.

Shifting mindsets, authentically levelling up the way we live in this world, vulnerable leadership and underpinning it all - positive, empathetic Mental Wellness.

I believe each one of us has a purpose and each of our stories can make a wave in the hearts and the minds of others if we use it for good.

But one wave that we create can feel small in the big scheme of things when we see an ocean of pain, confusion and overwhelm in our complex modern society. If that’s how it feels for you, like you’re paddling against an ocean of negativity or indifference, take heart. One little waka travelling through the water won’t create a current, but many will.

Here’s some tips for making this process easier:

FIND

FOLLOW
FEEDBACK

FIND others who are paddling in the same direction as you, and connect!

FILL your newsfeed/inbox/notifications with goodness.

FOLLOW people who are genuinely making a difference.

Follow smart people who know more than you do but are sharing their information in a way that can actually help you live better.

Follow funny people who aren’t afraid to tell you when they fall and fail and pick themselves up again.

Follow humble people who have walked through the fire and kept going, even when they thought they couldn’t take another step.

FEEDBACK: Paddling against the tide is lonely work and can be exhausting. When someone has inspired you or touched your world, LET THEM KNOW!

Humans thrive on hearing how the sacrifices we make for others are creating positive change, don’t ever be shy to pass that story back.

Here’s to the paddlers, the supporters, the cheerleaders and the game changers everywhere.

I see you, I acknowledge your journey. As we paddle alongside one another may we create a current of aroha (love) that can change the world.

Huge love Aroha Nui
